These founding fathers started United Bikers of Maine in 1975. They worked long and hard hours to make U.B.M. a viable voice in the state of Maine and at the statehouse level. Their initial efforts led to the repeal of the helmet law in the state of Maine.
U.B.M. has continued to grow from this small dedicated group of men, to become a nationally known motorcycle rights organization.
Now we have over 2,700 members and many dedicated people involved, but this core group of men are the very reason that when you fire up your bike you have the choice and the freedom to wear a helmet or not, and for that we say thank you for your time and dedication to bikers rights and freedoms in the state of Maine.
